Job summary

HDR is seeking a strategic Data Steward for the Resources Business Group to define and govern data definitions, sharing, and reuse across multiple business classes and HDR. This leadership role focuses on simplifying data, enabling reuse, and driving data-driven decisions within a large employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 10+ years of leadership and change-management experience.
• Experience in architecture/engineering or power/industrial sectors is a plus.
• Ability to collaborate with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the RBG data point of contact and leverage SME expertise from our Business Classes and Practices.
• Develop and maintain data glossaries for key engineering terms with business context.
• Build alignment around data processes, priority, and expected use.
• Promote consistent, responsible use of technical data, including access, quality, format, and reuse.
• Govern externally sourced datasets (access, approvals, inventory, storage, lifecycle).
• Lead a RBG SME network to align practices and share lessons learned across business classes.
