Job summary

HDR is seeking a Resources Business Group Data Steward to shape how our data is defined, shared, and reused across all Business Classes and Practices within the HDR. This leadership role focuses on making data simpler, more useful, and more connected to how we do business.

The role reports to the Resources Business Group Technology Director and collaborates with HDR Data Operations and the Technology Leadership Team to enable better decisions, reuse, and delivery excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in architecture, engineering, data science, business, computer science, or related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience in developing and managing diverse teams.
• Ability to work cooperatively with other leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the RBG data point of contact and SME with SME expertise from our Business Classes and Practices.
• Develop and maintain data glossaries for key engineering and technical terms with business context.
• Use your technical network to build alignment and consensus around data processes, priority, and expected use.
• Promote consistent, responsible use of technical data, including access, data quality, best practice for format, and reuse.
• Support governance of externally sourced datasets (access, approvals, inventory awareness, storage, and lifecycle considerations).
