Job summary

HDR is seeking a strategic Data Steward for the Resources Business Group to define, share, and reuse data across HDR’s business classes and practices. This leadership role emphasizes data simplicity, usefulness, and connectivity to HDR’s operations now and in the future.

The role reports to the Resources Business Group Technology Director, with a dotted line to the Digital Design Lead, and collaborates with HDR Data Operations and Technology Leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in a data-focused or leadership role.
• Experience leading diverse teams and working with engineers and managers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the RBG data point of contact and SME for data terms and business context.
• Develop and maintain data glossaries for key engineering concepts.
• Drive alignment on data processes, priority, and usage.
• Promote responsible data access, quality, and reusability.
• Govern externally sourced datasets and coordinate with Data Operations.
