Damar Services, Inc. in Richmond, IN is seeking a Resource Specialist to join our on-site, full-time team. The role focuses on keeping environments safe and supporting direct care staff in delivering high-quality services to individuals with behavioral health and I/DD needs.

Starting pay is $17.00 per hour. The position requires crisis management skills, a high school diploma or GED, a valid Indiana driver’s license, and successful background checks. We value teamwork and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 to work in our Children's Residential program; Direct Support roles 18+.
• Provide formal proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record meeting eligibility.
• Clear of felonies, substantiated neglect, or disqualifying convictions.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Background screening must be favorable.

Responsibilities

• Effectively responds to and manages crisis situations for all Damar programs - taking the leadership role in de-escalation and/or intervention when needed
• Initiates special precautions for clients that exhibit and meet high risk behavior criteria
• Takes appropriate action regarding events affecting residents’ mental and physical well-being, including client and staff support, informal training and crisis management
• Understands behavior support plans for high acuity clients
