Our Resource Specialist position on our Resource Team is one of Damar's most unique departments! This team strives to keep the environment safe for our clients, and provides support for our other direct care staff. This person would work at our Children's Residential location: 6067 Decatur Blvd, Indianapolis, IN 46221.
Effectively responds to and manages crisis situations for all Damar programs - taking the leadership role in de-escalation and/or intervention when needed
Initiates special precautions for clients that exhibit and meet high risk behavior criteria
Takes appropriate action regarding any events that affect the mental and physical well-being of the residents, including but not limited to, providing client and staff support, informal training and crisis management
Understands behavior support plans for high acuity clients
