Job summary

Conecta Education is seeking a Resource Special Education Teacher (M/M) in the greater Monterey County area. The position is full-time, August 2026 to June 2027, 35 hours weekly, 8:00 to 3:30, with a CA credential in mild/moderate or mod/severe required.

• Valid California Special Education Teaching Credential (mild/moderate or moderate/severe, depending on assignment).
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, IEP process.
• Experience designing and implementing differentiated instruction for diverse learners.
• Strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction to students with IEPs, adapting curriculum to meet individual learning needs.
• Implement and monitor IEP goals and objectives.
• Conduct ongoing assessments and progress monitoring; maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and parents to provide coordinated support.
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing input on student performance and progress.
• Support positive behavioral interventions and classroom management strategies.
• Utilize assistive technology and other resources to enhance student learning.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior.
• Attend professional development, staff meetings, and trainings as required.
• Uphold confidentiality and compliance with IDEA, FERPA.
• Other Duties as assigned
