Job description

Overview

We are seeking a CA Credential Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 25/26 school year. This is a High School Resource position working with students in grades 9-12, caseload 20-25, mild/moderate, 35-40 hours weekly. Top rated High School in a great location!

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support student learning.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
• Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student performance.
• Participate in professional development and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university
• CA Schools Teaching Certification Teaching Endorsement; Mild/Moderate
• Prior experience working in a school setting or with children is preferred

Required Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team including Paras, therapists, teachers and parents
• Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with various teaching methodologies.
• SEIS experience
