Overview
We are seeking a CA Credential Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 25/26 school year. This is a High School Resource position working with students in grades 9-12, caseload 20-25, mild/moderate, 35-40 hours weekly. Top rated High School in a great location!
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support student learning.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
- Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student performance.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- CA Schools Teaching Certification Teaching Endorsement; Mild/Moderate
- Prior experience working in a school setting or with children is preferred
Required Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team including Paras, therapists, teachers and parents
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with various teaching methodologies.
- SEIS experience
Pay range and compensation package
