Job summary

HDR is seeking a strategic Data Steward to shape how data is defined, used, and reused across the Resources Business Group. You’ll partner with HDR Data Operations and tech leadership to enable governance, reuse, and delivery excellence across multiple business classes and practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, data science, business, computer science, or related discipline or equivalent related experience.
• At least 10 years of senior leadership experience focused on data solutions and services.
• Experience in architecture, engineering, and construction industries; power/industrial experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the RBG data point of contact and leverage SME expertise from Business Classes and Practices.
• Develop and maintain data glossaries with business context for key terms.
• Build alignment around data processes, priority, and usage with the technical network.
• Promote responsible use of technical data, including access, quality, and reuse across teams.
• Govern externally sourced datasets, including access, approvals, and lifecycle considerations.
• Lead a RBG SME network with HDR Data Operations to share lessons learned.
