Job summary

HDR is seeking a strategic-minded Resources Business Group Data Steward to define, share, and reuse data across Business Classes and HDR. This leadership role is not IT or compliance, but enables better decisions, data reuse, and delivery excellence.

Reporting to the Resources Business Group Technology Director, you will work with HDR Data Operations and Technology Leadership to drive data standardization and governance across multiple locations and practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of strategic leadership experience focused on growing, developing, and leading teams in change management and business data.
• Extensive experience delivering diverse data-focused solutions and services to an organization and industry.
• Experience in architecture, engineering, and construction data contexts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the RBG data point of contact and coordinate SME input from Business Classes and Practices.
• Develop and maintain data glossaries for key engineering/technical terms with context.
• Build alignment on data processes, priority, and usage using professional networks.
• Promote responsible data access, quality, format standards, and reuse across projects.
• Govern externally sourced datasets: access, approvals, inventory, storage, lifecycle.
• Lead a network of RBG SMEs with Enterprise Data Operations to share lessons learned.
• Promote data fluency across the RBG and collaborate with Data Science teams.
• Communicate and collaborate regularly with BG Data Stewards and Enterprise Data Operations staff.
