Job summary

Island Hospitality Management in Chula Vista, CA is seeking a Resort Maintenance Technician to handle routine and preventative maintenance across our resort properties, ensuring safety and guest satisfaction.

You will perform minor repairs, inspect irrigation and grounds, maintain pool and common areas, and coordinate with the Resort Manager for contractor work. This on-site role requires flexible hours and a focus on curb appeal and guest comfort.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs across homes and facilities.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power equipment, and basic machinery.
• Basic computer skills for emails and reporting.
• On-call availability outside normal hours.
• 6 months maintenance experience in resort, campground, or similar setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs to rental homes and facilities.
• Carry out routine maintenance for electrical, plumbing, and structural systems.
• Inspect irrigation and grounds, and perform lawn care tasks.
• Ensure resort areas are clean and presentable.
• Report maintenance issues to the manager.
