Job summary

Island Hospitality is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our hotel in San Diego. The role involves inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of hotel systems and equipment, following safety guidelines, and supporting a team or working independently as needed.

The ideal candidate will be able to handle routine maintenance, participate in preventative programs, and assist with exterior and interior tasks as required. The position may require flexible scheduling to meet guest needs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work well in a team and individually
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Excellent guest service skills and communication
• Familiar with safety procedures and reporting hazards

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain hotel systems and equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC)
• Complete reports during shifts for the management team
• Support emergency response and guest safety efforts
• Collaborate with Chief Engineer and management on projects
