Job summary

Island Hospitality Management is seeking a Resort Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance across our resort properties in New York. You will handle minor repairs, inspect irrigation and recreational facilities, and keep common areas clean and inviting for guests.

The role requires ability to respond to resort needs during non-business hours and to work under variable schedules based on occupancy and season.

Qualifications

• Basic computer proficiency including the ability to use email and the internet.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery.
• General knowledge of janitorial work, plumbing, electrical, and grounds maintenance.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and broad experience in general maintenance techniques and repair work.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on resort facilities and rental homes.
• Complete minor repairs to rental homes and facilities as needed.
• Inspect irrigation systems, playgrounds, pools, and other amenities for proper operation and safety.
• Maintain curb appeal and ensure the resort is presentable to guests at all times.
• Assist Resort Manager with supervision of service contractors and report maintenance issues as identified.
