Job summary

Sun Outdoors is seeking a Resort Maintenance Technician to keep resort facilities, grounds, and utilities in top condition. You will perform routine repairs, inspect systems, and help maintain cleanliness and curb appeal across multiple resort areas.

The role requires outdoor work in varying weather, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to respond to resort needs during non-business hours. The position offers compensation commensurate with experience and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• 6 months in previous maintenance experience in a campground or RV resort (Preferred)
• Demonstrated knowledge of and broad experience in general maintenance techniques and repair work
• Ability to endure seasonal temperatures as working conditions require constant outdoor work
• General knowledge of janitorial work, plumbing, and grounds maintenance
• Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery
• Ability to provide legible written reports
• Ability to work well independently as well as on a team
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and internet
• Availability to respond to resort needs during non-business hours while on-call

Responsibilities

• Empty trash and perform maintenance or repair duties using hand tools and power equipment
• Complete minor repairs to rental units and facilities
• Conduct routine maintenance and minor emergency repairs including plumbing and street repair
• Inspect irrigation systems and repair as needed
• Inspect playground, pool/spa, and other amenities and perform minor repairs
• Keep resort clean, presentable, and adherent to curb appeal standards
• Perform lawn care tasks including weed control, mowing, mulching, and pruning
• Ensure common areas are free of trash daily
• Clean resort amenities such as clubhouses, restrooms, and maintenance areas
• Maintain vacant sites and remove debris
• Remove snow from streets and parking areas as required
• Inspect RVs, park models, and mobile homes prior to sale
• Complete site condition checklists before/after guest occupancy
• Assist Resort Manager with supervision of service contractors
• Report maintenance issues to management
• Ensure resort streets and access routes are hazard-free
• Maintain resort pools and vehicles, test chemical levels
• Follow safety procedures and operate vehicles to move between sites
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
