Job summary

Island Hospitality Management, LLC is seeking a Resort Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventative maintenance across our resorts while delivering excellent guest service.

This role may require flexible scheduling and on-call availability. You will handle repairs, maintain outdoor spaces, and ensure a clean, welcoming environment for guests across multiple resort areas. Join a team focused on safety, quality, and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Basic computer proficiency and ability to use email/internet.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to provide legible written reports.
• Proficient with hand tools, power equipment, and machinery.
• General knowledge of janitorial, plumbing, electrical, and grounds upkeep.
• Experience in general maintenance techniques and repairs.
• On-call ability to assist resort needs outside business hours.
• Preferred: 6 months maintenance experience at a campground or RV resort.

Responsibilities

• Complete minor repairs to rental homes and facilities as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor emergency repairs (electrical, plumbing, etc.).
• Inspect irrigation systems and repair as necessary.
• Inspect playground, pool/spa, and other amenities; perform repairs as needed.
• Keep the resort presentable and aligned with curb-appeal standards.
• Conduct lawn care: weeds, mulch, planting, trimming, and debris removal.
• Maintain trash pickup in common areas and empty containers as needed.
• Clean resort amenities such as clubhouses, restrooms, and garages.
• Maintain vacant sites and remove trash in pickup areas.
• Remove snow where applicable (plow, salt, shovel).
• Complete site condition checklists before/after occupancy.
• Assist Resort Manager with supervising service contractors.
• Report maintenance issues to the manager.
• Ensure all streets and access routes are hazard-free.
• Maintain pool chemical tests and equipment; service resort vehicles.
• Follow safety procedures and operate vehicles to move between sites.
