Job summary

BlueStar Resort & Golf is seeking a bartender to prepare and serve beverages and food for guests at the bar, restaurant, or patio, reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager. You will greet guests, make drink recommendations, handle orders, and ensure a welcoming, high‑quality service environment.

Your role requires at least one year of bartending experience, a current Food Handlers Card and TIPS certification, and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• One year bartending experience preferred.
• Must meet state and federal age requirements for serving alcohol.
• Current Food Handlers Card and TIPS Certification.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide; calculate discounts and percentages.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a friendly work environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming atmosphere and provide exceptional hospitality with knowledge of the resort and dining areas.
• Maintain highest standards of food and beverage service to meet guest expectations.
• Greet guests, take beverage orders, and make recommendations.
• Check IDs to ensure legal drinking age.
• Balance cash register and handle transactions accurately.
• Take inventory and assist with ordering liquor and supplies while monitoring quality and budgets.
• Maintain bar area cleanliness and assist in all Food & Beverage functions (e.g., events).
• Attend exhibitions and seminars to stay current with F&B industry developments.
