BlueStar Resort & Golf is seeking a bartender for its Hollister, California location. The role involves preparing beverages and food, serving guests at the bar, restaurant, or patio, and reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager.

The position requires a minimum of one year of bartending experience (preferably in a resort), a valid Food Handlers Card and TIPS certification, and the ability to work evenings and weekends. Benefits after 60 days apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• One year bartending experience, in a resort facility preferred.
• Must meet the state and federal minimum age requirement for serving alcohol.
• Current Food Handlers Card and TIPS Certification (Training for Intervention Procedures).
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide; must be able to calculate discounts, and percentages
• Ability to contribute to a productive and friendly work environment by maintaining a positive attitude.
• Ability to speak effectively and present information to another person and in small group situations with guests and team members.
• Ability to provide direction to coworkers in a professional and friendly manner.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memorandums.
• This position requires a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends.

Responsabilités

• Create a welcoming atmosphere and provide hospitality by knowing the resort and dining area; respond to guest questions with enthusiasm.
• Maintain consistent high standards of food and beverage service.
• Greet and serve guests; take beverage and food orders; prepare to-go orders and replenish snacks.
• Handle cash and card transactions; balance the cash register.
• Take inventory and order liquors and supplies within budget.
• Keep work area clean and bar equipment sanitized according to procedures.
• Oversee and assist in all Food & Beverage functions, including banquets.
