Job summary

BlueStar Resort & Golf is seeking a Banquet Bartender to prepare and serve beverages and food for banquet and catering events. You will report to the Food & Beverage Manager/Catering Event Manager and help ensure guest satisfaction with hospitality at the resort.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking beverage orders, mixing drinks, checking IDs, handling cash and card transactions, and maintaining bar cleanliness. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• One year experience bartending, in a resort facility preferred.
• Must meet the state and federal minimum age requirement for serving alcohol.
• Current Food Handlers Card and TIPS Certification (Training for Intervention Procedures).
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide; must be able to calculate discounts, and percentages.
• Ability to speak effectively and present information to guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming atmosphere and provide excellent hospitality by knowing the resort facility and dining area.
• Maintain a consistent standard of service and guest satisfaction.
• Greet guests, determine beverage preferences, and mix drinks; serve wine and beer.
• Check IDs to ensure legal drinking age.
• Report safety issues or guest concerns to a supervisor.
• Balance cash and card transactions and manage the cash register.
