Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Resilience and Emergency Management Intern for our Orlando, FL office. The role supports resilience, emergency management, disaster recovery, grants, planning, and infrastructure initiatives for public-sector clients.

No professional experience is required; 60 credits toward a degree are expected. Strong MS Office and GIS/BI tools familiarity preferred. Opportunity for mentorship and exposure to FEMA/HUD programs.

Qualifications

• Completion of at least 60 credit hours toward a degree by start of internship.
• Preferred fields include Emergency Management, Public Policy, GIS, or related disciplines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn SharePoint and other project systems.
• Exposure to ArcGIS, Power BI, Smartsheet, Adobe Acrobat, FEMA grant systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support resilience, emergency management, disaster recovery, grant, and planning projects through research, data collection, document development, meeting coordination, and follow‑up activities.
• Review, organize, track, and maintain grant applications, reimbursement requests, plans, project records, and related documentation per program requirements.
