AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Resilience and Emergency Management Intern to join our Tallahassee, FL office. The internship offers hands-on experience supporting resilience, emergency management, disaster recovery, grants, planning, and infrastructure initiatives for public-sector clients.

No professional experience is required; completion of 60 credit hours toward a degree is expected, with preferred fields listed. Office-based role with opportunities for mentorship and professional development.

Qualifications

• Completion of at least 60 credit hours toward a degree from an accredited college or university by the start of the internship.
• Preferred fields include Emergency Management, Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science, Geography/GIS, Environmental Studies, Planning, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Communications, or related disciplines.
• No professional experience required; internship, volunteer, research, customer service, administrative, data analysis, planning, grants, or public-sector experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support resilience, emergency management, disaster recovery, grant, and planning projects through research and data collection.
• Prepare correspondence, meeting summaries, presentations, maps, and reports for internal and client use.
• Maintain project data, dashboards, SharePoint, databases, and spreadsheets to support delivery.
• Conduct data analysis, mapping, GIS support, and reviews of program guidance and FEMA-related topics.
• Perform QA/QC reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance of documents and datasets.
• Collaborate with grants specialists, planners, engineers, and stakeholders to support project execution.
