Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Tampa, FL is seeking a Resilience and Emergency Management Intern to support public-sector resilience, emergency management, disaster recovery, grants, planning, and infrastructure initiatives.

You will assist with research, data collection, document development, meeting coordination, and deliverables preparation for internal and client use, while gaining exposure to FEMA, HUD, and state agencies.

Qualifications

• No professional experience required; internship entry point.
• At least 60 credit hours toward degree by start of internship.
• Preferred fields include Emergency Management, Public Policy, GIS, or related disciplines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with SharePoint; ability to learn project systems.
• Experience with data analysis, research, or grants is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support resilience, emergency management, disaster recovery, grant, and planning projects through research and data collection.
• Review, organize, track, and maintain grant applications and related documentation in accordance with program requirements.
• Prepare correspondence, meeting summaries, presentations, maps, reports, and other deliverables for internal and client use.
• Maintain project information, datasets, dashboards, SharePoint sites, databases, spreadsheets, and other systems of record.
• Collaborate with grants specialists, planners, engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to support project execution and reporting.
• Perform QA/QC reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance of project documents.
