Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Resilience and Emergency Management Intern to join the Tampa, FL office. The role supports resilience, emergency management, disaster recovery, grants, planning, and infrastructure initiatives for public-sector clients.

The internship emphasizes hands-on research, data collection, document development, and coordination. Strong MS Office, SharePoint, and analytical skills are valued, with exposure to ArcGIS and Power BI as a plus.

Qualifications

• Completion of at least 60 credit hours toward a degree from an accredited college or university by the start of the internship.
• Preferred fields include Emergency Management, Public Policy, Public Administration, GIS, Planning, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Support resilience, emergency management, disaster recovery, grant, and planning projects through research, data collection, document development, meeting coordination, and follow-up activities.
• Review, organize, track, and maintain grant applications, reimbursement requests, plans, project records, and related documentation in accordance with program requirements and quality standards.
• Prepare correspondence, meeting summaries, presentations, maps, reports, briefing materials, forms, logs, and other deliverables for internal and client use.
• Maintain project information, datasets, dashboards, SharePoint sites, databases, spreadsheets, and other systems of record to support project delivery and reporting.
• Conduct research and analysis, including data compilation, data visualization, mapping, GIS support, technical summaries, and reviews of program guidance and policies.
• Perform QA/QC reviews to ensure the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance of project documents and datasets.
• Collaborate with grants specialists, planners, engineers, project managers, and clients to support project execution and funding programs including FEMA/HUD.
