Job summary

AtkinsRéalis USA Inc. is seeking a Resilience and Emergency Management Intern for our Tampa, FL office. The role supports resilience and disaster-management projects, grant tracking, and planning activities for public-sector clients.

You will work with grants specialists, engineers, and project managers to assist with data, documents, and outreach. No professional experience is required; completion of at least 60 credit hours toward a degree is expected, with preferred studies in Emergency

Qualifications

• Completion of at least 60 credit hours toward a degree from an accredited college or university by the start of the internship.
• Preferred fields include Emergency Management, Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science, Geography/GIS, Environmental Studies, Planning, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Communications.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support resilience, emergency management, disaster recovery, grant, and planning projects through research, data collection, document development, meeting coordination, and follow-up activities.
• Review, organize, track, and maintain grant applications, reimbursement requests, plans, project records, and related documentation.
• Prepare correspondence, meeting summaries, presentations, maps, reports, and briefing materials for internal and client use.
• Maintain project information, datasets, dashboards, SharePoint sites, databases, and spreadsheets.
• Conduct research and analysis, including data visualization, GIS support, and reviews of guidance and policies.
• Perform QA/QC to ensure accuracy and compliance of documents and datasets.
