Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Residential Driver to provide curbside and backdoor waste collection in Greenville, SC. You will operate a collection truck, load waste/recyclables, and maintain safety with regular inspections and route documentation.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with at least 1 year of driving experience (or CDL school). Strong safety and customer communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CDL required to operate the vehicle.
• At least 1 year of commercial driving experience or CDL school completed.
• Ability to safely drive and operate the truck and equipment.
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection trucks on specified routes.
• Load solid waste and recyclables into the vehicle and maintain the load.
• Perform safety inspections and complete documentation daily.
• Report mechanical issues immediately to supervisor.
• Maintain route quality and assist with overtime as needed.
• Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
