Job summary

New Haven is seeking a dedicated supervisor to oversee Mentors in a vibrant residential program for adolescent girls. You will lead shift operations, coordinate onboarding, and drive ongoing staff development within a trauma-informed, relationship-based care setting.

The role emphasizes collaboration with therapists and nurses, adherence to policies, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment. This on-site position requires a 21+ applicant with a high school diploma and Utah background check.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ and hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Driver’s license with clean record and Utah background check.
• Willing to commit for 8 months and obtain a Food Handler’s Permit before starting.
• Policy-savvy with knowledge of company policies and procedures.
• Lead with leadership, teaching, motivation and team-building skills.
• Collaborate with therapists and nurses in an interdisciplinary team.
• Remain calm and communicate effectively during crises.

Responsibilities

• Lead with Purpose: supervise and support Mentors during shifts and recognize standout performance.
• Strategic Delegation: assign responsibilities to ensure smooth shift operations.
• Talent Onboarding: partner with HR to hire and onboard candidates for long-term success.
• Thorough Orientation: guide new hires through structured, checklist-based on-shift orientation.
• Continuous Development: facilitate weekly trainings and ongoing coaching to elevate performance.
• Performance Oversight: monitor staff performance with quarterly reviews.
• Accountability & Discipline: address performance issues with structured protocols.
• Clear Communication: share key shift updates during handoffs for continuity.
• Team Representation: advocate for your shift during interdisciplinary Treatment Team meetings.
• Safety Leadership: conduct quarterly safety drills and model best practices.
