Job summary

Volunteers of America Colorado seeks Residential Relief staff to provide as-needed coverage for the RYES programs, including Safe Haven, family shelter, and veteran family services. You will help manage the facility during shifts, coordinate with staff, ensure safety, and support housing stability through trauma-informed care.

The role includes documenting interactions, maintaining program data in HMIS/ServicePoint, guiding volunteers, and upholding ethics.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent human services experience.
• One year direct human service experience.
• Willing to obtain first aid, AED, CPR and Narcan training.

Responsibilities

• Ensure participants voices are heard and inform programming.
• Document all interactions with eligibility and demographic information.
• Maintain safety and wellbeing of participants and de-escalate conflicts.
• Coordinate with team to deliver appropriate services.
• Maintain knowledge of program requirements and referrals.
• Support volunteers and staff with training and supervision.
