Job summary

Volunteers of America Colorado is seeking a Family Service Coordinator to support families, seniors, and people with disabilities in our Affordable Housing Portfolio.

You will collaborate with the Property Manager to expand resources for residents, conduct needs-based assessments, and coordinate income supports and educational programs. This full-time role requires a college degree in human services or related experience, strong interpersonal skills, and Windows/databases proficiency.

Qualifications

• A college degree in human services, social work, or 2 years in a closely related field or related experience.
• At minimum, one full year working with families.
• Criminal and civil background checks within 30 days of hire.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Proficient in using Windows and working with databases.

Responsibilities

• The Family Service Coordinator is directly responsible for service provision and housing assistance for families in the Affordable Housing Portfolio, working with the Property Manager to expand opportunities for residents.
• Provide trauma-informed care, life skills training, SEL basics, and Motivational Interviewing; conduct needs-based assessments and case management.
• Coordinate health, wellness, and educational programs tailored to resident needs and engage youth as applicable.
