Job summary

Volunteers of America Colorado is seeking a Guest Services Coordinator for the Family Motel facility in Denver. The role supports housing stability, safety, and daily operations across family and respite shelters, with trauma-informed care and HMIS data entry emphasis.

You will document interactions, manage front desk tasks, supervise volunteers, and contribute to program-wide objectives within a compassionate team environment.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent experience in human services.
• One year direct human service experience.
• Willing to obtain first aid/CPR/AED certifications.
• Criminal and civil background checks within 30 days of hire.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and wellbeing of residents and manage the facility during shifts.
• Document client interactions and maintain eligibility/demographic records.
• Coordinate housekeeping, scheduling, and front desk duties as needed.
• Supervise volunteers and mentor junior staff.
• Respond to crises, de-escalate conflicts, and call emergency services when required.
• Participate in staff meetings and support program-specific housing stability goals.
