Job summary

Volunteers of America Colorado (VOAC) seeks a Residential Coordinator for Irving Street Women’s Residence to manage the facility during shifts and support residents in maintaining housing and obtaining community housing upon exit.

This HUD-identified Safe Haven serves up to 25 unaccompanied women and gender-diverse individuals experiencing chronic homelessness with mental health needs, using Housing First and trauma-informed care approaches.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in a related area or the equivalent experience in human services.
• One year direct human service experience.
• Willing to obtain first aid, automated external defibrillator and CPR certifications and keep current.
• Criminal and civil background checks within 30 days of hire.
• Good organizational and planning skills; works well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensures residents' voices are heard and incorporated into programming.
• Maintains knowledge of program requirements, referrals, and HUD standards within a Safe Haven model.
• Develops and monitors Housing First/CTI-based supportive services for housing stability.
• Documents client interactions and maintains eligibility and demographic information.
• Maintains resident safety and coordinates with the team to meet needs.
