Job summary

The New York Foundling is seeking a dedicated Residence Supervisor in New York, NY to lead a team of Direct Support Professionals and oversee high-quality, person-centered residential services. This role partners with the Residence Manager to ensure health, safety, independence, dignity, and rights of persons supported while complying with agency policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Leadership abilities to supervise Direct Support Professionals and ensure adherence to agency policies.
• Experience with OPWDD regulations and person-centered practices.
• Budgeting and resource allocation for residence operations.
• Strong communication with families, staff, and outside partners.
• Proven crisis-management and documentation skills in residential settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to Direct Support Professionals, ensuring adherence to agency policies and person-centered practices.
• Collaborate with MAP, nurses, BIS and other team members to support medical and clinical care plans and data for all persons served.
• Develop and retain a strong DSP workforce through coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
• Respond to requests and ensure regulatory compliance, policy adherence, and readiness for audits.
• Coordinate with external agencies, families, and healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive services.
• Oversee emergency preparedness protocols to safeguard residents during crises.
• Maintain compliance with OPWDD regulations and documentation standards.
• Build positive relationships with individuals, staff, community partners, advocates and stakeholders.
