Job summary

Deborah's Place seeks a Residential Services Coordinator to oversee programming at Rebecca Johnson Apartments in Chicago. You will facilitate tenant meetings, respond to concerns, conduct inspections, and help with crisis intervention and planning alongside the Learning Center Coordinator.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in supportive housing, knowledge of homelessness and mental health, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of residential services experience in supportive housing and with mental illness/substance abuse.
• Knowledge of homelessness, mental illness and chemical dependency; proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong communication and organizational skills; conflict management and crisis intervention abilities; ability to coordinate with case management and other providers; professional boundaries; Illinois driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee residential services and ensure safety and integrity during designated hours.
• Facilitate Tenant Meetings at Rebecca Johnson Apartments.
• Respond to tenant complaints; communicate with Residential Manager.
• Attend to crisis intervention and assist with program planning with Learning Center Coordinator.
• Enter data in HMIS and support learning activities.
• Develop and maintain tenant-centered programming; assist with eviction prevention strategies.
• Collaborate with leadership to set goals and outcomes.
