Job summary

Community Partners in Action, Inc. in Waterbury, CT, is seeking a Part Time Human Services Worker for the Waterbury Transitional House. This role provides supervision and support to residents, helping them meet goals in a structured, safe environment.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred) and a CT driver’s license. Bilingual Spanish/English is desired. Compensation is $22.50 per hour, with benefits eligibility based on schedule.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED, or higher, required/preferred.
• Prior human services experience with justice-involved clients preferred.
• Valid CT driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) helpful.

Responsibilities

• Supervise residents and monitor activities per program policies.
• Advocate for participants and encourage program participation.
• Mediate conflicts and resolve issues using solutions-focused approaches.
• Maintain professional boundaries and a professional image at all times.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings and ensure timely documentation.
• Assist with meeting resident needs and program operations as needed.
