Job summary

GFL Industries is seeking a Residential Driver to safely and courteously provide waste removal services on curbside and backdoor routes. The role includes operating trucks, loading materials, and ensuring route quality with strict safety adherence.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, a valid CDL, and at least one year of commercial driving experience or CDL training. Excellent safety and customer-service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED desired.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria.
• Ability to safely drive and operate the truck.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection routes with curbside or backdoor pickups.
• Load waste/recyclables into the vehicle and operate the hydraulic system.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and complete required documentation.
• Communicate vehicle issues to supervisor and mechanics.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report accidents or incidents promptly.
• Adhere to safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
