Job summary

GFL Industries in Texas is seeking a Residential Driver to safely and courteously provide waste removal services on curbside and backdoor routes. You will operate a residential/recycling truck, collect waste and recyclables, and transport them to post-collection facilities.

Key duties include pre/post-trip inspections, maintaining route quality, and ensuring all safety protocols and PPE are followed on every shift, with overtime possible as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Must meet safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection truck to collect waste on a route.
• Load waste and recyclables into the vehicle.
• Operate truck equipment to compact trash.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and complete reports.
• Maintain route quality and follow safety policies.
• Identify prohibited waste and remove items.
• Communicate vehicle issues to supervisor.
• Overtime may be required.
