Job summary

Essex-Property-Trust is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, prepare vacant units for new residents, and respond to maintenance requests to ensure a quality living environment at one or more properties in Huntington Beach, CA.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2+ years of experience, and a valid driver’s license. On-call duties and weekend coverage may apply as part of onsite operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 2+ years of property management or related experience preferred.
• HVAC and/or CPO license preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required for onsite operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.
• Repair and maintain interior and exterior features such as doors, windows, walls, flooring and fixtures.
• Respond to maintenance requests from residents and ensure timely resolution.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents including painting, cleaning and repairs.
• Conduct regular inspections and follow preventive maintenance schedules.
