Job summary

Volunteers of America Texas is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our Abilene properties. This full-time role handles electrical, carpentry, plumbing and painting tasks across residential units, ensuring safe and well-maintained living spaces for residents.

You will travel to multiple site locations with a company vehicle, complete forms and work orders promptly, and contribute to a reliable schedule and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Trade, Technical or vocational training preferred.
• At least 1 year of residential property maintenance experience.
• Valid Texas Driver's License and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical repairs such as breakers, outlets, and lighting.
• Repair structure: carpentry, doors, exterior and interior surfaces.
• Paint interiors and exteriors and prep surfaces.
• Perform plumbing tasks: faucets, lines, toilets.
• Complete forms and work orders accurately.
• Travel to multiple property locations; company vehicle provided.
