Job summary
Volunteers of America-Texas in Austin, TX is seeking a full-time maintenance technician to perform HVAC/PTAC repairs, electrical and plumbing work, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance. You will work independently with your own tools and maintain accurate work orders and logs.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 1 year of maintenance experience, or a relevant vocational certificate.
- Trade certificate from maintenance/vocational school is acceptable.
Responsibilities
- Repair and service air conditioners (primarily PTAC units) and related systems.
- Perform minor electrical repairs inside and outside units.
- Perform plumbing repairs and basic troubleshooting as needed.
- Handle carpentry work including door repairs and replacements; flooring work.
- Paint interior and exterior surfaces; prep drywall and siding.
- Repair windows, screens and doors as needed.
- Complete maintenance procedures for each property.
- Maintain forms and work orders; bring own tools.
- Maintain logbooks for move-outs and preventive maintenance.
