Job summary

Volunteers of America Texas in Austin, TX is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to maintain Seabrook Square. You will perform repairs on PTAC units, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and related maintenance tasks.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Texas driver's license. On-call duties may be required; VOA Texas offers healthcare, retirement, education assistance, and PTO.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relevant maintenance experience or equivalent training.
• Valid Texas Driver's License with clear MVR and the ability to be insured.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and services on air conditioning units (primarily PTAC) and basic electrical work.
• Plumbing repairs as needed and maintenance of mechanical systems.
• Carpentry tasks including door repairs and flooring, plus painting and finishing.
• Maintain windows, screens, doors, and related components.
• Complete forms and work orders; work independently with own tools.
• Log daily accomplishments and manage move-outs and preventive maintenance.
