Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to maintain and service residential properties. The role involves responding to work orders, performing preventative maintenance, and completing the make-ready process for vacant units. Qualifications

• 3-5 years of property maintenance experience required.
• HVAC and appliance repair experience preferred.
• Computer knowledge is required for navigation of multiple systems.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including inspections and punch lists.
• Tracks inventory, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Completes documentation to properly record and track service requests.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning and repairing as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible.
• Attends safety meetings and ensures compliance with OSHA and safety requirements.
• May inspect contractor work to verify quality and scope.
• Conducts regular property inspections to identify safety concerns and communicate needs to management.
