Job summary

AmeriGas Propane, Inc. is seeking a Territory Sales Representative – Residential to prospect, qualify and close new customers within assigned field locations.

You will drive revenue from home builders, HOA and OPS communities and develop strategic plans to exceed profit and volume targets. In this role you will build relationships with builders and decision-makers, present compelling proposals, and stay current on propane products, regulations and market trends.

Qualifications

• Must have all sales skills necessary to prospect and close new customers.
• Must have complete understanding of propane products and services.
• Must be able to maintain a high level of productivity through careful planning and execution.

Responsibilities

• Primary function to increase revenue from Home Builders and HOA and OPS Communities.
• Establishes strong relationships with prospective customers through prospecting and business development techniques.
• Develop and execute a sales plan for the geographic area to maintain high activity and productivity.
• Network with decision-makers to lead them to the AmeriGas solution.
• Commit to time for internal and external client relationships during work hours and events.
• Protect AmeriGas from competitive threats by conducting key account reviews.
• Prepare and present sales proposals to current and prospective customers.
• Maintain expert knowledge on products and solutions and current regulatory changes.
• Collaborate with Territory Sales Manager and vendors to improve sales tools and techniques.
• Maintain working knowledge of applications and customer solutions.
• Attend periodic meetings and training classes as required.
