Job summary

Advocates seeks an Assistant Program Director to supervise evening and weekend shifts and coordinate daily house operations in Lexington, MA. You will work with residents and Direct Care Staff, help with schedules, and ensure documentation and safety procedures are followed.

The role requires high school diploma or equivalent, with an Associates in human services or related experience preferred. A valid driver’s license and willingness to transport participants are required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in human services or 1 year of related field experience.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, plan and complete tasks independently.
• Experience serving culturally diverse populations preferred.
• Ability to understand, speak, read and write fluent English.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; proficient with computers.
• Must have a valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Supervise evening and weekend shifts.
• Assist with staff scheduling to ensure program coverage and budgetary compliance.
• Oversee safety procedures, fire drills, and emergency plans.
• Document participant safety checks, progress and challenges monthly.
• Participate in supervision and staff meetings; attend trainings.
