Job summary

Advocates is a nonprofit serving individuals with developmental and mental health challenges. The Assistant Program Director will oversee evening and weekend shifts, assist with scheduling and documentation, and coordinate with staff to ensure safe, compliant daily operations for program participants.

Minimum education is a High School Diploma/GED. The position involves direct care, documentation, HIPAA compliance, and driving Advocates vehicles as needed to transport residents.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in human services or 1 year related field experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse populations.
• Fluent English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Valid driver’s license with access to insured vehicle for transport.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise evening and weekend shifts and coordinate with residents and Direct Care Staff.
• Assist with scheduling, service plans, and daily program operations.
• Maintain documentation, incident reports, and HIPAA confidentiality.
• Support residents with activities of daily living and medication assistance.
• Attend meetings and trainings; ensure safety procedures and fire drills.
