Job summary

FREE seeks a Residential Support Manager in Old Bethpage, NY to oversee residential programs, train Residential Managers, and ensure compliance with agency policies and NY regulations.

The role is full-time with on-call responsibilities, emphasizing health, safety, and rights of individuals served. Leadership and program oversight across multiple residences are key components of the position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree in human services preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with people with developmental and intellectual disabilities and/or mental illnesses.
• One (1) year of supervisory experience is required; more is preferred.
• CPR/FA, SCIP, and AMAP certifications required (within 120 days of hire).
• G-Tube and Insulin certifications may be required for OPWDD programs (within 120 days if needed).

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with regulatory, agency, and quality standards.
• Provide direct training and guidance to Residential Managers.
• Act as Residential Manager during coverage periods with full operational authority.
• Advocate for individuals by integrating rights and preferences into planning and service delivery.
• Coordinate management training programs with Housing Support Director to align with policy and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct on-site reviews to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Review documentation for accuracy and timeliness; identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
