Job summary

Life's WORC is seeking a dedicated individual for a full-time Residential Supervisor role in New York. The position involves supervising staff, ensuring safety, and coordinating care for residents with developmental disabilities in a 40-hour weekly schedule (Sunday–Thursday 8AM–4PM) with additional shifts as needed.

You will provide protective oversight, manage scheduling, and participate in meetings and audits. A valid NY driver's license and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• High-School Diploma required; Bachelor’s in Human Services preferred.
• Two years’ experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
• One year supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid NY State or out-of-state driver’s license required.
• Must pass pre-employment road test and drive an agency vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing protective oversight to residents.
• 24/7 On-Call Accessibility.
• Schedule and train residential staff; supervise personnel.
• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Participate in staff performance evaluations.
• Attend IDT or Life Plan meetings and OPWDD surveys.
• Complete AMAP course and recertification annually.
• Operate agency vehicles safely and perform vehicle maintenance.
• Support community integration activities.
