Job summary

Empowering People’s Independence (EPI) in Rochester, NY seeks a Program Director to oversee the daily operation of the program and provide overarching direction for assigned individuals and staff.

You will ensure adequate staffing, supervise DSPs, manage documentation accuracy, and participate in referrals, admissions, and discharge processes, while maintaining compliance with agency policies and OPWDD/DOH requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and preferably five years’ experience in human services; or
• An associate’s degree with three years’ experience; or
• A bachelor’s degree with one year experience in human services.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the health and well-being of individuals served.
• Ensure adequate staffing to meet needs.
• Attend to employee documentation for accuracy and updates.
• Report policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Participate in referrals, admissions, placements, and discharges.
• Review and sign billing documents for compliance.
• Provide ongoing supervision and program training for staff.
• Serve as on-call on a rotating basis.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Program Manager.
