Job summary

ADAPT Community Network seeks a Residence Manager to oversee daily operations of a residential program for individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring a safe, person-centered living environment.

You will supervise staff, coordinate with clinical teams, manage finances and records, and ensure compliance with OPWDD and agency standards. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's in Human Services preferred.
• Minimum of three years supervisory or managerial experience in residential or developmental disabilities setting.
• Valid New York State Driver’s License in good standing.
• AMAP certification or eligible for certification.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills with coaching and support abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to interact with families, staff, and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate the treatment and service plans for the people we support.
• Ensures the health, safety, and dignity of the people we support are maintained at all times.
• Oversees medical care needs, including medication administration and coordination with clinical staff.
• Supports the people we support in developing daily living skills, promoting independence in household tasks, personal care, and community participation.
• Advocates on behalf of the people we support with programs, employers, healthcare providers, and community organizations to ensure appropriate services and opportunities.
• Coordinates transportation and ensures availability and maintenance of adaptive equipment.
• Supervises residential staff, ensuring coverage across all shifts, including holidays and emergencies.
