Job summary

Worcester County Developmental Center (WCDC) is seeking a Residential Manager to supervise Direct Support Professionals in our residential homes, ensuring safe, meaningful lives for clients and adherence to policies. The RM collaborates with the residential team on planning, decision making, and procedures, reporting to the Assistant Programs Director.

This exempt role includes on-call duties. Responsibilities include staffing, training, maintaining certifications, documenting services for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services or related field.
• 2 years direct support experience required; substitution allowed for leadership/management experience.
• Must complete DDA Core Training successfully.

Responsibilities

• Serve as central point of contact between clients, families, partner services and WCDC departments.
• Perform on-site resident visits to ensure compliance with policies and COMAR regulations.
• Ensure residences are fully staffed per ratios and client-specific needs.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, and training for residential staff; provide on-call support.
• Ensure staff pass and maintain certifications (Med Tech, CPR, First Aid, Mandt, etc.).
• Monitor employee performance and attendance to ensure accurate payroll.
• Complete required forms documenting services for timely billing.
• Review residential expenses monthly to stay at or under budget.
• Other duties as assigned.
