Job summary

Cape Abilities Inc. is seeking a Residential Programs Leader in Massachusetts to oversee residential supervisors and ensure high-quality supports for individuals with disabilities.

You will ensure regulatory compliance, develop treatment plans, and coordinate trainings for staff across homes. The role requires extensive supervisory experience, hands-on care when needed, and strong communication skills in a dynamic, community-based environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years prior experience including 3 years residential management and staff management experience and 3 years supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, brain injuries or other unique challenges.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance.
• Prior supervisory experience required.
• Ability and willingness to provide hands-on personal care.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to effectively communicate in both verbal and written form with coworkers and supported individuals and read fluently.
• Valid driver’s license in the state of Massachusetts required.
• Successful completion of all state and Agency mandated trainings required upon hire.
• Successful completion of Medication Administration Training certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, evaluate, and provide support to Residential Supervisors assigned to residences; ensures Supervisors understand program and performance standards.
• Ensures regulatory and policy compliance in assigned homes by conducting comprehensive record reviews and inspections; audits to ensure optimal services.
• Guides Supervisors in developing treatment plans including ISP, provider service agreements and clinical support plans.
• Assists with recruiting, supervising, and training Direct Support Professionals.
• Serves as liaison with MRC and DDS for people in assigned homes.
• Provides mandatory trainings for Agency staff on safety, procedures, and health.
• Reviews and finalizes reporting including incident, restraint, and medication reports.
• Ensures CARF standards compliance and on-call coverage.
• Acts as mandated reporter for abuse/neglect to the DPPC.
