Worcester County Developmental Center (WCDC) is seeking a Residential Manager to supervise Direct Support Professionals in our residential homes, ensuring safe, meaningful lives for clients and adherence to policies. The Residential Manager (RM) supervises the Direct Support Professionals (DSP) that work in WCDC homes to ensure that clients in our Residential Program lead safe and meaningful lives. The ideal candidate will collaborate with WCDC residential team in the planning, decision making, facilitation of processes, procedures, and policies. Success in this position also requires a willingness to make decisions and exhibit sound and accurate judgement. This is an exempt position that reports directly to the Assistant Programs Director.
<b>Hours: </b>Rotating monthly schedule to include weekends and participate in the on-call rotation. The duties and hours depend upon the needs of the program.
<b>Rate of Pay:</b> Commensurate based on experience
<b>Qualifications:</b> Must be at least 21 years old, with a valid driver's license, and approved to transport clients. License may not be Provisionals and have a driving record that reflects responsibility and maturity. Complete all DDA Core Training successfully.
<b>Education/Experience: </b>Bachelor's degree in human services or other related field and 2 years of direct support experience required. May substitute 4 + years of leadership/management experience for required degree.
<b>Physical Demands/work Environment</b>: Must be able to stand and walk 90% of work time; sit and/or drive 10%. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull 60 pounds; must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch and reach. All of the requirements are necessary in order to properly supervise and assist individuals with disabilities. Should be able to climb stairs/ladder and have good balance. Vision is required in order to drive.
