Job summary

Life’s WORC is seeking a dedicated residential supervisor to oversee residents in our community housing programs. The role involves 40 hours per week (Sunday - Thursday 1p-9p) with flexibility for coverage, and a pay rate of 23.50 per hour plus comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include protective oversight, scheduling support, staff coaching, and ensuring safety in daily living activities. Requirements include a high school diploma, at least one year with individuals with developmental

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year’s experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment road test and drive an agency vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing protective oversight to people living in the residence.
• 24/7 On-Call accessibility.
• Assist with scheduling, personnel-related issues, training of residential staff and other delegated tasks.
• Provide assistance and instruction for each person in basic activities of daily living.
• Complete staff performance evaluations.
• Participate in Life Plan meetings and OPWDD surveys.
• Be available to all staff for coaching and observation around Person-Centered Supports.
• Participate in the selection and evaluation of staff.
• Complete AMAP course and annual recertification.
• General lifting is required (laundry, groceries, etc.).
• Drive agency vehicles and maintain safe driving practices; complete driver safety course.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of vehicles; conduct NYS Vehicle Inspections.
• Conduct road tests with prospective and current employees on agency vehicles.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment including weekly walkthroughs with Residence Manager.
• Ensure adherence to agency quality standards of operation; support operational processes with Residence Manager.
• Assist people supported in planning, coordinating and attending community integration activities.
• This shift is 40 hours per week. Flexibility Needed.
