Job summary

Eastern Community Development Corporation seeks a Residential Manager to lead day-to-day operations of group homes ensuring health, safety, and quality of life for residents. You will supervise the direct support team, manage schedules, and ensure Individual Plans are carried out daily.

You will report to a Residential Coordinator and Director team, coordinating with families, clinicians, and HR to maintain compliance and a high standard of care.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory experience in residential services for people with intellectual disabilities or in a similar caregiving position
• CT Medication Administration Certification or plan to obtain within 90 days
• PMT and CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
• Working knowledge of Therap; ADP experience a plus
• Strong judgment under pressure and ability to hold staff accountable fairly and consistently
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must have a clean background check incl. DDS Abuse & Neglect registry check
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and coach Direct Support staff with performance feedback.
• Build and manage staff schedules in ADP Workforce Now to control overtime and staffing ratios.
• Oversee implementation of Individual Plans, Behavior Support Plans, and medical/health protocols with nursing team.
• Review and approve Therap documentation for accuracy and timelines with QA support.
• Maintain CT DDS regulatory compliance and prepare for licensing inspections and Quality Service Reviews.
• Coordinate with families, guardians, case managers, clinicians, and day programs.
• Manage home budgets, petty cash, and resident funds with accountability.
• Create a safe, supportive environment and plan activities to enhance participation.
